On December 19th, 2001, wild New Zealand captured the world's attention with
Lord Of The Rings
Before the release of Lord of the Rings in 2001, New Zealand was a scarcely visited mystery land in the Pacific Ocean.

The world didn't know about the phenomenal snow capped peaks...
No one had heard of the epic hot spring beaches...
And glow in the dark caves were a fantasy nobody thought could actually be real...
But after watching these amazing landscapes on the big screen, a new wave of adventurers turned their attention towards New Zealand.

This wild land is a place where fantasies come to LIFE.

That's why WanderBlue is hosting it's next international eco-tour in Karapiro, New Zealand in March 2027!

Here's everything to expect when you apply to join.👇

The 6-Day New Zealand Itinerary

Dates: March 5-12th, 2027

Day 1
Arrive At Our Lakeside Bunk House On The North Island

For this eco-tour in New Zealand, we will base out of a hostel-style bunk house in a town called Karapiro.

To arrive, you will fly into Auckland where you will be picked up and be whisked away on a 2 hour scenic drive South into the wild lands.

A light dinner will be waiting for you at the house so you can eat and go straight to bed to recover from jet lag and prepare for the activities we will be doing for the rest of the trip.
This is hostel style housing. So choose your bed, tuck in for the night, and prepare for an epic adventure the next day!

Day 2
Hobbiton Tour And Evening Feast

One of the most iconic destinations in New Zealand is called "Hobbiton".

This is the movie set where they filmed all Shire scenes for Lord Of The Rings with Frodo, Gandolf, Samwise, Bilbo, and all our favorite characters.

For you movie fans, this might look familiar to you👇
The same cobblestone pathways these incredible actors rode their wagons on are the same pathways we will walk on when we visit Hobbiton on the second day of our eco-tour in New Zealand.

After a slow morning to sleep off jet-lag, we'll head over to the movie set for a special "Evening Banquet Tour".
After a thorough guided walking tour around the property and into these miniature hobbit houses in the hills, we'll meet at the Green Dragon Inn for a a proper movie feast come to life.
These all-you-can-eat LOTR buffet will include all the favorite dishes of a hobbit with meat pies, roasted lamb shanks, root vegetables, mashed potatoes, cumberland sausage, and much more!

Eat your fill, because tomorrow morning we are setting out for a full day adventure in New Zealand's wild country.

Day 3
Maungatautari Mountain And Redwoods Tree Walk

Maungatautari Mountain is a 6+ mile hike through the green fields and up 2,615ft above sea level.

It is a challenging hike that will last between 4-5 hours and reward us with a gorgeous view of the green valleys that stretch in every direction.

This wilderness zone is a haven for local wildlife including the amazing flightless Kiwi.
This furry little flightless bird is the symbol of New Zealand.

With the introduction of domestic cats and other predators, kiwi populations fell off a cliff.

But thanks to conservation efforts across the country, populations have stabilized in some special places like right here at Maungatautari Mountain.

While these birds are rare to see during the day, we're going to give it a shot and hope to spot one on our hike. But don't worry, we will be visiting a sanctuary to interact with them later in the trip.

After our hike, we'll head down to a geothermal town called Rotoura for a heart pounding 700 meter long ropes course through the redwood trees.

Day 4
Hot Springs And Glow Worm Canyon Kayak Tour

To help rest your sore muscles from the hike day before, we'll start day 4 with a drive into the mountains to soak in a secluded hot springs spa.
With 3 pools holding 6-10 people, these epic baths will provide several hours of relaxation.

Listen to the birds...

Enjoy a delicious breakfast...

Take a nap in the hot water...

Then prepare yourself for a totally unique, twilight kayaking tour through the canyons.
These canyons are beautiful in the day, but at night the walls light up with neon blue glow worms that will guide us home back to the cars.

This is where we'll get our first taste of New Zealand's glow worms, but it certainly won't be your last opportunity to see them.

Day 5
Hot Springs Beach Day And Spellbound Glow Worm Caves

Hot water beaches are a phenomenon found in several spots across New Zealand.

During low-tide you can walk out onto the beach, dig a pool, and watch as hot springs water fills the divot.

We'll spend the morning here on the beach.

Swim in the ocean...

Soak in the sandy hot pools...

Enjoy breakfast at the nearby town...

And if that's not exciting enough, next up is arguably the greatest wilderness experience in all of New Zealand...
Spellbound Glow Worm Caves.

Glow worm caves like this exist almost nowhere else in the world than right here in New Zealand.

And while the more popular Waitomo Glow Worm Caves to the North only allow you a few minutes in the cave at a time...

Spellbound Glow Worm caves allow more time underground AND give you the opportunity to take long exposure photographs.

This is the "premium" nature experience for this trip. And it will likely be something you remember for the rest of your life.

Day 6
Pack Up And Head Home

Wake up and head back to the airport with memories to last a lifetime.

Day 7 ⭐️Bonus Day⭐️
For The Dreamers Meditation Retreat

This trip to New Zealand will mark the debut of a new future-pacing feature on WanderBlue Eco-Tours.

Meditation bonus retreat days.

These days are totally optional, and for this first trip to New Zealand, it's only an extra $100 to join.

Here's how it will work👇

When we check out of our house on day 6 and drive back to the city, I'm getting a second house rental in Auckland that you will have an open invite to come join the next morning.

I will guide you through a meditation, feed you a locally catered meal, then we will sit as a group of dreamers and map out the future of your business.

When you have clarity on what you want, you'll head back home.

If you decided to join this meditation bonus day, remember this is for business minded people who are dreaming of their future success.

If you are retired or don't have a business, this bonus day isn't for you.

If you are planning to continue your New Zealand trip after this, this day also probably isn't for you.

This extra meditation day is ONLY for business minded dreamers who are seeking clarity and action steps to go home and execute on.

If that's you, this day is designed to give you mental breakthroughs using meditation loop holes that you've probably never used before.

Meet your guide

I'M JAKE BLUE

If you don’t know me yet, my name is Jake, I'm a full-time vanlifer, and I've spent the last 6 years searching for the greatest wilderness destinations in the world.

I’ve been to all 50 states in America…
Traveled through foreign countries living out of my backpack…
And dedicated my life to discovering the greatest natural events on the planet (like swimming with whale sharks here👇)
I believe the more people who spend time in nature, the more people who will protect it.

That’s why I started WanderBlue Adventure Company.
Through WanderBlue, I help people make their dream wilderness trips Easier, more Affordable, and more FUN than ever before.

Besides being incredibly fun, WanderBlue Trips are designed to expose you to some of nature's greatest events.

When you join a WanderBlue trip, you will interact animals, hike mountains, and spend hours of your day in nature.

My philosophy is that the greatest way to protect wilderness, is to have people who love wilderness. And the best way to create love for wild places is to give people the opportunity to take AMAZING trips to incredible places!

And that's exactly what we'll be doing in New Zealand?

Here’s Everything You Get When You Join This Eco-Tour In New Zealand

After you schedule your Application Call and register for the trip, you will get access to:

- 6 days of lodging at this amazing bunk house
- All included transportation across the island
- Delicious group meals at local restaurants

- And the opportunity to interact with amazing local wildlife
All of this together will ensure you have an incredible trip.

But That's Not All...

When you join an Eco-Tour with WanderBlue, you join a community of adventurers dedicated to wilderness protection around the globe.

It's important to spend some time of your life traveling alone, but the greatest trips of your life will be with groups of amazing people.
That amazing group experience is exactly when you join a WanderBlue trip.

Ready to enjoy New Zealand?

How Much Is It To Join This Trip In New Zealand?

Professional tours have can be incredibly expensive in many parts of the world…

But WanderBlue's goal is to give people access to the wildest places Earth at a price affordable for ANYONE who loves nature, animals, and the outdoors.

So let's recap everything you get:

First off, everything is already laid out for you the moment you sign up for this eco-tour.

That means you don’t have to worry about:

Car rentals
Finding a local guide
Reserving a hotel
Booking the right activities
Filling out paperwork
Or any of the research on what to do when you actually get there

All of that is already taken care of for you so all you have to think about is having a great trip with great people!

Second, you’ll actually save money when you join this trip vs going solo.

That’s because instead of paying for everything yourself, WanderBlue Eco-Tours are a small group experience. And because we’re a small group, we get to save money on everything we do.

You can think about it like getting better prices buying bulk items at Costco.

WanderBlue Eco-Tours are the same thing.

Local guides give us better prices…

Restaurants plan ahead and treat us better with our reservations…

And getting incredible accommodations is a FRACTION of the price you’d spend for the same house alone.

Not to mention, small group travel experiences are MORE FUN than traveling alone a lot of the time.

Why?

Because you will have other travelers just like you to share every experience with.

When you summit your first New Zealand mountain, you’ll have a friend with you to take pictures.

When you dig your hot spring in the sand, you’ll have extra hands to help you dig.

And when you sit down for dinner, you’ll be able to share your stories from the day with people who are just as excited as you are.

So how much is all of that worth?

$5,000?

$7,000?

$10,000?

Those are regular prices for a lot of people when they travel.

But WanderBlue Trips are designed to help your travels be easier, more affordable, and more FUN than “regular” trips.

That’s why you’re NOT going to spend $10,000 to do glow worm tours in New Zealand.

You’re NOT going to spend $7,500 for a Lord Of The Rings themed feast at the Shire.

And you’re NOT going to spend $5,000 to soak in secret hot springs across the North island.

Instead, you can get the full experience with WanderBlue in New Zealand for just $2,700.
