LAND OF FIRE AND ICE
See the
NORTHERN LIGHTS
in the Land of Fire & Ice
Iceland is undoubtedly one of the world's best adventure destinations.

BUT...

Most tourists who visit Iceland take their trips in the Summer and miss out on one of the most epic natural spectacles in the world.

THE NORTHERN LIGHTS

When Summer fades to Fall in Iceland, the Northern Lights take over the night sky for 8 full months.

Electromagnetic waves of green, blue, purple, and gold dance across the ocean and over the mountains - putting on one of nature's most unbelievable displays.

Yet, because of the cold weather, almost NO tourist ever travels to see it.

But Iceland has a secret weapon that makes viewing the Northern Lights easier and more fun here than anywhere else in the world. 👇

HOT SPRINGS

Iceland may be the only place in the world you can comfortably watch the Northern Lights from the warmth of natural hot spring surrounded by snow.

And that is the EXACT experience you're going to get on WanderBlue's upcoming Iceland Eco-Tour!

The 8-Day Iceland Itinerary

Dates: March 20-28, 2028

Day 1
Arrive In Reykavik And Drive To Our Trip Compound

Unlike many other countries in Europe that require a 7, 8, or 9+ hour flight...

Iceland is only a 5 hour flight from the East coast.

That means that you aren’t going to get off the plane feeling as exhausted as you would for most international trips.

This gives us a little time to take the scenic route along coast as we drive to our home.

This 90 minute drive will take us through lava fields and along the ocean so you can soak in the views of one of the weirdest countries on Earth.

Day 2
Fontana Geothermal Bakery and Hot Springs Soak

Iceland is home to perhaps the most unique bakery in the world.

Unlike most amazing bakeries that are built on downtown streets...

The Fontana Geothermal Bakery is located on a black sand beach where locals literally bake their bread by burying it in the ground. And you’re gonna get to taste it!
When you’ve buried your bread in the sand and eaten your fill, we’ll walk down the beach to enjoy an evening soak in the nearby hot springs before heading home for a good night's sleep.

Day 3
Road Trip to Sólheimajökull Glacier

Two hours East of our compound is a place called Sólheimajökull.

It's name translates to "Home Of The Sun Glacier".

Here you will find a 7 mile long, 1 mile wide, 600 foot tall glacier carving it's way through the mountains towards the ocean.

Most people have never seen a glacier, and even if you have, you’ve probably never seen anything like this.

But it’s only ONE of our several amazing stops on this day.

We will also be visiting Seljalandsfoss, a 197ft tall waterfall that offers one of the most iconic views in all of Iceland.
From there we'll hike out to the black sand plane wreck. This spot has become a cultural phenomenon so popular that even Justin Bieber filmed part of his music video for "I'll Show You" here.
Then, if you're brave, you can bring a swimsuit for a plunge into the famous hike in fjord warm spring.
Unlike some of the other hot springs we'll be visiting on this trip, this spring's temperatures fluctuate dramatically depending on the time of year. So we may get a treat with a warm back country soak... or it may be just warm enough for a face dunk before heading home.

Day 4
Hike Into A Boiling Hot Spring River

If you're looking for HOT natural hot springs in Iceland, look no further than Reyakadur.

Many parts of this river are so hot you can barely get in. So it’s your job to find where the cold and warm water blends for the ultimate wild hot springs experience.

Not to mention, the hike up into the hills to find this hot spring river is absolutely stunning.

We’ll spend most the day up here and eat dinner in town.

Day 5
Golden Circle Driving Tour

North of Reykjavik is a recreationist’s paradise known as "The Golden Circle".

This Golden Circle is a MASSIVE geothermal hot spot that has created some of the most dramtic, odd, and beautiful landscapes in the world.

Here you will find endless waterfalls, gushing geysers, and more hot water than you know what to do with.

On your trip to Iceland you’ll get walk through this landscape in person.
You'll see boiling geysers explode...
Hear the roar of absolutely MASSIVE waterfalls crashing down from the mountains...
Warm up in a gorgeous local hot spring...
And eat the best tomato soup of your life inside a football field sized green house!

Day 6
Reykjavik Day

Most of this Eco-Tour in Iceland will be spent OUT of the city to maximize your chance of seeing the Northern Lights. But, downtown Reykjavik has a few special local activities that you can’t miss while in Iceland.

You’ll start this morning with some free time walking the town and try Iceland's famous local hot dogs.
Then walk the rainbow road through downtown to a 244ft tall church.
And finish our time in town with a real life lava show!
But this show isn’t the end of our day.

From here we’ll go to visit the most famous hot spring in Iceland, and maybe the most recognizable hot spring in all the world.

The Blue Lagoon.
Blue Lagoon is probably the most expensive hot spring in Iceland, and having dinner here is going to run you at least $100/person.

But when you join WanderBlue’s Eco-Tour to Iceland, you’ll get to enjoy the Blue Lagoon and a luxury dinner all included.

And while a lot of tourist activities are overpriced and overhyped…

The Blue Lagoon in Iceland is not one of them. It is an absolute necessary stop for the full Iceland experience.

Day 7
Free Day + Northern Lights Night Drive

Our final full day in Iceland will be spent with free time.

We’ll have a slow morning breakfast at the house, head out for a bonus hike, and do a dropoff in town for final gift shopping.

Then, when the sun goes down, we’ll hit the road for a Northern Lights tour.

It’s the goal for this day to make sure you go home with epic pictures of the Northern Lights to tell all your friends you’ve seen one of the coolest natural phenonena in the world.

Day 8
Head Home

We’ll check out of our house and drop you off at the airport to fly home with memories to last a lifetime.

Meet your guide

I'M JAKE BLUE

If you don’t know me yet, my name is Jake, I'm a full-time Eco-Tour Guide, and it's my job to find the greatest adventure wilderness destinations in the world.

I’ve been to all 50 states in America…
Traveled through foreign countries living out of my backpack…
And dedicated my life to discovering the greatest natural events on the planet from animal migrations to the Northern Lights.
I believe that the more people who get outside and experience wild places, the more people who care to protect wild places.

That’s why I started WanderBlue Adventure Company.
Through WanderBlue, I help people make their dream wilderness trips Easier, more Affordable, and more FUN than ever before.

Besides being incredibly fun, WanderBlue Trips are designed to expose you to some of nature's greatest events.

When you join a WanderBlue trip, you will interact with animals, hike mountains, and spend hours of every day in nature.

My philosophy is that the greatest way to protect wilderness is to have people who LOVE wilderness.

And the best way to create love for wild places is to take people on AMAZING trips to incredible places.

And that's exactly what we'll be doing in Iceland!

Here’s everything included for you on this Eco-Tour in Iceland

It's important to spend some of your life traveling alone, but the greatest trips of your life will be with groups of amazing people (like these groups I took to Alaska, Portugal and Greece👇)
This kind of amazing group experience is exactly what you'll get when you join this eco-tour in Iceland

Ready to rock?

How Much Is It To Join This Trip In Iceland?

Professional tours have can be incredibly expensive in many parts of the world…

But WanderBlue's goal is to give people access to the wildest places Earth at a price affordable for ANYONE who loves nature, animals, and the outdoors.

So let's recap everything you get:

First off, everything is already laid out for you the moment you sign up for this eco-tour.

That means you don’t have to worry about:

Car rentals
Finding a local guide
Reserving a hotel
Booking the right activities
Filling out paperwork
Or any of the research on what to do when you actually get there

All of that is already taken care of for you so all you have to think about is having a great trip with great people!

Second, you’ll actually save money when you join this trip vs going solo.

That’s because instead of paying for everything yourself...

WanderBlue Eco-Tours are a small group experience. And because we’re a small group, we get to save money on everything we do.

You can think about it like getting better prices buying bulk items at Costco.

WanderBlue Eco-Tours are the same thing.

Local guides give us better prices…

Restaurants plan ahead and treat us better with our reservations…

And getting incredible accommodations is a FRACTION of the price you’d spend for the same house alone.

Not to mention, small group travel experiences are MORE FUN than traveling alone a lot of the time.

Why?

Because you will have other travelers just like you to share every experience with.

When you dunk into the Blue Lagoon for the first time, you’ll have a friend with you to take pictures.

When you bake your bread in a geothermal beach, you’ll have extra shovels to help you dig.

And when you sit down for dinner, you’ll be able to share your stories from the day with people who are just as excited as you are.

So how much is all of that worth?

For most people who go to Iceland, it's $6,000-$10,000.

But WanderBlue Trips are designed to help your travels be easier, more affordable, and more FUN.

That’s why you’re NOT going to spend $10,000 to spend 8 days under the Northern Lights in Iceland

You’re NOT going to spend $7,500 for a local guide to drive you to all the best hot springs on Iceland's South Coast.

And you’re NOT going to spend $5,000 to see real life lava from just feet away!

Instead, you're going to enjoy the full Iceland experience with WanderBlue in Iceland for just...

$3,500
